Subject: Contact mit MAX Programmierern
hmm, wie wir uns schon dachten, wird GUS auch keine grosse Hilfe sein. Mich erschreckt einwenig die Aussage, dass bei jedem "animation frame" die Daten verglichen werden.

>>>
The network support in M.A.X. was always spotty. The game is frame-locked, which means that all computers in a network game must agree at all times about
the game data, and they exchange checks every animation frame. The synchronization error occurs because one of the two computers resolved some action
differently than the other one. M.A.X. really predated the popularity of network games, and effort put into this aspect of the game was small compared to
most games today.

No, I don't have any contact information for any other the other programmers. Particularly not for Dave Boulanger, who wrote the network code.

I haven't heard anything from Ali Atabek in 7 years, and he wouldn't be of much help to you anyway, since he was strictly project management, not
programming.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help to you on this. I suspect getting this corrected would have been difficult even in '98 when the team was still together
and Interplay was still in business.
