To stack planes to avoid detours seems a good idea, being able to stack planes for tactical reasons ( without being out of movement points) complexifies tactics without any benefit for the gameplay imho.

Is there any reason btw why planes don't beeline to their destination like in the original, in stead of horizontal en then diagonal or vice versa?
Would reduce the times one flies into air defenses haphazardly
