Subject: Re: MAX 3d printing
I've heard that the a MakerBot is a great 3d printer, http://www.makerbot.com/
Sadly its sold out now, but that's probably the cheapest and most DIY 3d printer ever !

I have to find the name of our printer at school, but I know the prize was about approximately 20.000€.
The file format doesn't matter that much. Its a wide open printer software. My model was made in 3dsMax and I could load it into Rhino, from there it was no problem for the printers software to print it out Wink

The model has to be a solid, means its a fully closed object (polygon wise speaking! )

I give you more information about the printer, but first I have to find the pictures of the thing on my phone Wink
