Subject: Re: MAX played on windows 95
Quote by Eiko:
Animation speed is not comparable with the original, because I think, that the original speed is not constant, but depents on the CPU speed. At least it looks much faster in the video, than it was on my old Win95 PC.
You are right and you said it yourself. Now it seems that the animation is spe(e?!)d up. I think there has to be a animation speed cap in the original MAX? I can't imagine it was tight with the CPU speed to match a calculated speed. Rather the CPU was limiting the experience back then, why we should make it lag on purpose?

I could build up a 266 Mhz (with64 mb of ram) win95 machine in no time to proof that it was still running faster, though it has only 266 Mhz CPU.
Some tests with dosbox might help too

To have a screen video helps. And yes, I will open a ticket, its just so full of a lot of other things, and I don't have the overview yet. Nevertheless, I will do it Wink

So Eiko, is it possible to speed up the animation ate to match it with the video? Wink

Thanks for the patience
