I do know a few guys who never played the original M.A.X., who were drawn to it by the lore of epic battles in MAXR everywhere they went.
Inspired by the promise of an unrivaled intensity of deep strategic play assured by there friends, took the challenge facing the veterans, endured countless humiliating defeats only to become formiddable foes with their own new nasty tricks.
Guess I'd better order M.A.X. for them then order them to do so
