This how-to is split, so all needed pictures below the right part…

This is just *ONE* way, how you can play MAX on different modern OS (single player vs. AI — multiplayer via hamachi not tested yet)

You need:

• The original CD-Data, or an old installation out of a backup you made years ago. Otherwise you can leave this how-to right now.
• Internet access to download:
  • D-Fend Reloaded
  • Patch from MAX 1.01 to 1.04
    • You have to download the patch for your chosen language when you installed MAX!
    • You can download
      • the German version on the Downloadpage {below the line}
      • all available versions (1.04) in this Topic Patches für MAX in diversen Sprachen on maxr
  • Patch from MAX 1.01 to 1.03
    • Sal said in an older Topic (Post #7), 1.03 would contains a better IA…, and added this version to the '…diversen Sprachen' too (Post #9)

You get:

• A fully operational copy of M.A.X. on any OS that is supported by d-fend/dosbox
