Subject: Am now a Vista shop So, it's only taken me 2 days to transfer my files and get MAXR and the reinstaller re-compiled on my new system. My mommy bought me a spiffy laptop with vista on it ( http://www.amazon.com/...B001GXR0UI ), so I have had to redownload everything and recompile everything, but I think I'm back in business. It's a 64-bit processor with vista 32 on it! I must find a way to upgrade to the 64-bit version. Maybe I'll trade in my old compy for a copy of vista 64... |

Subject: Re: Am now a Vista shop while on it you may play around to get the original max running on vista somehow. Good luck with that since 16bit support was removed completly afaik |

Subject: Re: Am now a Vista shop It never ran under XP SP1 (or was it SP2?). Incompatible video modes. Same error under vista, except more explicit. DOS is truly dead. |

Subject: Re: Am now a Vista shop Oh - dosbox runs on vista too ! The DOS 16-bit video compatibility was intentionally broken in XP SP2 and beyond, so I haven't been able to use the actual MAX executable under windows for a few years. |
