Subject: MAXR under Ubuntu Taking into consideration that Ubuntu is probably the most widely used linux distribution, I'd like to ask if there is some dedicated installation package for this system. |

Subject: Re: MAXR under Ubuntu nope, not yet. xarvh did some deb packages but wasn't around for months to upgrade his debian package you could use for ubuntu as well. It is however fairly simple to build it yourself on ubuntu. You just need the to called build essentials including a compiler, the autotools including libtools and the developer/header packages for SDL, SDL_mixer and SDL_net. I'm using a kubuntu on one of my laptops over here and it was easy to get the compile working on it. |
