It might help if we know your Operating System and have the routers name you use ( if you use one)

In this case , I could look up the router settings and check for any things that might be important

After a short discussion via IRC #maxr there are just some points you could try…
  • searching the name of your router and his serial-number
  • use a search machine of your confidence to find a manual
  • read the manual
  • hope there is anywhere something like »NAT Port Forwarding«, because often you have to set up a port forwarding rule.
  • ask someone in the IRC that's can host - maybe there is help and time to help Wink
  • don't give up!
other solution:
use a dedicated server
  • join the IRC and ask one of the members to open a game…
    • ip: maxr.org
    • port: default

What about Hamachi? Someone already tried? Wink
It's a program to make a Lan by internet, usually it bypass any ports problem... Cool

I was with the same problem. I modify my Internet Box configuration like that, in "NAT" choice:
The port 32322 is the one used in the game but you have to write it
