Subject: Android Version!? I notice that there is a maxr game on the Google Play store. I guess there must have been a release without it being available on the supported platforms list? I should have taken the time to read the instructions to be honest, but I tried to get it to work but it seems not to work? Can anyone tell me more about the android release please? |

Subject: Re: Android Version!? Hmm, yeah I didn't think it was related the more I looked at it. What are these guys doing then, I guess they're ripping off your work? https://play.google.com/....game.maxr That's really annoying! |

Subject: Re: Android Version!? They do. My complainment is out. Feel free to do the same. These "company" ported maxr really badly hiding it's origin and snipping the authors file. The GPL is not attached. The source is not downloadable. They just grabbed our data and reuploaded it on SF. They didn't even bother to change the logo or the projects name. People must think that this piece is our work. While this port sucks it shows commercials. MAXR is and will always be free of commercials as long as I have my fingers on this. Feel free to "vote" this app as well. The more people know the truth the better. |

Subject: Re: Android Version!? Well I have just given a one star review and explained what is going on, so maybe anyone with an Android phone can do the same. I'll also see what we can do about approaching Google to get the.apk taken down from there. This has really annoyed me! |

Subject: Re: Android Version!? Ok, you need to lodge a complaint here: https://support.google.com/...t/takedown I cannot do it as I do not own the source code or head-up the project. I have done a little research and read the terms and condition, and I think that you can report these guys for the following infringement (taken from http://play.google.com/...icies.html): Impersonation - We don't allow impersonation of others or other behavior that is misleading or intended to be misleading. They are totally impersonating this project and the worst thing about it is that it is probably someone that uses these forums! :-( They need to be taken down as the quality of the release is literally so bad it is crazy. |

Subject: Re: Android Version!? No problem. I have just made a small donation to the project in case there is a small cost associated with working with Google to remove this App. Nothing frustrates me more than someone stealing someone else's work or not giving them any recognition. I'm sure that Google will act on this, but keep us posted Beko! |

Subject: Re: Android Version!? Quote by beko: MAXR is and will always be free of commercials as long as I have my fingers on this. With GPL, you still may sell the application (as long as you respect the GPL rules, so mainly give source). But it is true that when the application (with source) can be found for free (no money), it is harder to provide the same with a price :-) |
