Subject: Re: Contribute unit art They are mostly made by editing and layering weapon and explosion sound samples. A heavily edited eagle scream is also used for the Assault Gun for adding the laser-like sound. |

Subject: Re: Contribute unit art You know khesm, there is something I really like about your pictures. They make "sense" and still the leave me enough room for my imagination. This feeling that there is more out there. I.e. The Fuel Truck that comes off from the Oil Tank: They blue light coming out of the entrance, makes it looks like somekind of Connection-Station for the back of the Fuel Truck. Some coupling mechanism. I love it. To nitpick a little: The fog / horizon looks a bit weird on the Oil Tank in the back ;D But for a quick render really great. |

Subject: Re: Contribute unit art The previous iteration was bad at conveying scale(the Engineer is actually huge) and the overall look was too soft. I made the shapes more defined, adjusted proportions and added lots of small scale detail to improve the sense of scale: ![]() |

Subject: Re: Contribute unit art It looks definitely bigger. Reminds me almost of the MAX Demo version of the engineer, its more teched up ( http://www.sal4.de/new2/MAX0046_mpworks.jpg ) The old status/ glass / lamps kinda got me, because it looked so much more important by the size and glow ![]() |
