Hey,

Just bought a GOG copy of my long lost old pal max. Maybe coming to mp too with maxr if there's still a crowd for now just a silly question.
Automatic ammo-refilling and repair of lets say turrets in the original m.a.x. . It happens but really really slow? You need certain buildings? Don't make me laugh its all manual ?

Stationary buildings get repaired each turn _if_ you've enough raw material in a storage _connected_ to the damaged building.

Same for ammo. That's refilled automatically only on zero tho. It may be better to keep an eye on this and keep a truck in range.

It is manual for any vehicle. MAX is not exactly a casual game.

Ah on zero... Figures Smiling
I don't mind being it non casual, thats why i'm playing it... also some nostalgia involved meaning i was playing it at a very young age the easiest difficulty was managable back then but way to boring late game so i never really finished one game let stand campaign missions or single missions trying to fix that now Wink
Almost on turn 100 on a average 4 player game, the rest of the players are a.i. but i'm getting a bit dulled with the graphics.
I read something about playing maxr with the original graphs is the other way around also possible?

Maybe i'l try to work around this with a different screen size on dos box... full screen on a 24 inch monitor is just a bit to much... the alt tab window look looks amazing but that is just a tiny box in the center screen.. hopefully i can find some middleway

Hypothetical yes. IIRC the original gfx uses an indexed image with the very same dimensions. I'm not sure whether each image has it's very own colour palette as MAXR has it tho.

The RES file format is known so one could change it's content. I doubt it's worth the trouble. AI players are kinda boring.
