Subject: Contact mit MAX Programmierern Yes, MM will not implement an AI. But what are the '*' arround the 'not' meaning? And like I asked you on ICQ, PK, is there really an interest in Play by Mail? If there is, I could implement a special option for this type of game, which would run like Hot Seat, which seams to be very stable. MM |

Well, I would prefer a special Play-By-Mail Mode, which savegames you can't load as singleplayer or something like that and with password protection at the begin of a turn. And how many Russians do you know? I mean, if there are enough people we could think about a multi-language support (English/Russian or what ever). Nothing like Play-By-Mail or other languages was planed yet, because there was (is) no demand in our little community. >>surveviour moves to slow in your max, how to change it Well, as far as I know the vehicle is moving as fast as all the other ground vehicles. Do you want it to move at aircraft-speed? Currently there is only one possibility to change this: changing the code. And about the 'nobody want's to play' part: I can only speak for myself: I'm more interested in programming then gaming... After all I'd like to know more about this 'Russian Connection'. Subject: Contact mit MAX Programmierern I know several Russians and Artlav too. They all play by mail only. Surveviour moves - maybe i dont rembmer well - 5 fields? It was 7 or 8 in original. Special pbm system would be good also. |

MM: I think it's a good idea to make a sort of plugin-system, to allow add-ons in your version. This should solve the no-AI class problems. Another idea is - your version seems to be good on performance and net-play, while mine is good on algorithms and versatility. What about a cooperation? BTW: Is there any debug options, like instant unit creation, in your version? May help testing a lot. |

Yes, there are, not for creating units, but some other, see readme.txt but since this document is in german I'll list them here again. Press TAB or klick the Chat-button and enter these codes: fps [on/off] shows a frame counter com [on/off] shows a traffic graph (only in multiplayer) base [on/off] shows additional infos about all bases wache [on/off] shows additional infos about guarding units and guarded terretory fx [on/off] shows infos about the special effects ping sends a ping to all players trace [on/off] shows A LOT of information about what ever is under your mouse-cursor log [on/off] creates a log-file with all messages of the multiplayersession (messages of the engine) [show/hide] log shows/hides the last log messages Now some cheats: color [0-7] changes the color of the player fog off turns the fog off survey shows all ressources credits adds 1000 credits kill [x] [y] kills what ever is at x,y god off creates a world without god ![]() load refills the currently activated vehicle/building with ressources/oil/what ever (very usefull) So you see there are a lot of debug commands which makes debugging a little bit easier... >>What about a cooperation?
