Subject: Bug found
First I must say thank you for bringing back one of my all time favourite games!

Now on to this bug report, I'm playing on the earth map from sandman, however every now and then my resource allocation seems to automatically lose half of the resource income possible, which was making me have to check the allocation each and every turn to make sure that it didn't do this. It only happened with the gold. The last time it removed half of the allocation was straight after building a gold refinery.

This didn't happen within the first game that I played at all. And it isn't happening during this game for my friend that I am playing with, the only thing different on mine from the first game is that I used the re-installer to move over the files from the original MAX game. So for a test I have reverted the 'gfx' folder to what comes with MAXR itself. I'll slowly go through them to see if it's any of those that are causing this. But that's the only thing different and in this current game I'm only on turn 80ish and it's happening frequently.

I'll reply again shortly if I can manage to stop this from happening. My friend is currently waiting for me to continue the game so I hope this post makes sense! Tongue

Regards,
Steve

Having reverted the 'gfx' folder back to the orginal that came with the MAXR download. I thought the issue had vanished as it didn't happen when I built a gold refinery (the first time, it did on the second), so I'm not sure if that is the/a trigger.

Hi Irushian,

thanks for reporting observed bugs. We have a special bugtracker for this: http://trac.maxr.org/ It helps us to manage the known bugs, if they are reported on the tracker. Please use it next time.

Regarding the bug with the ressource allocation: You can look forward to the next release of maxr Smiling This bug has been fixed in SVN, so it should work correctly in the next version.

Hi Hi Irushian and welcome to maxr Smiling

Thanks for your very detailed bug report including savegame and reproduce testing. As Eiko mentioned this should already be fixed in SVN. You can obtain a developer snapshot from downloads or directly from SVN if you feel lucky. Also rest assure that this is not the Resinstallers fault, so there speaks nothing against it's use Wink You can also combine the free stuff with the Resinstaller depending on how you like it best.

Thank you for the warm welcome!

I've managed to produce a save where it is guaranteed to happen as soon as a constructor moved to finish a building, and I can confirm that it is indeed fixed in the test build! I'm looking forward to the next version! (Having to check the allocation every turn is annoying hehehe).

I've tried my hand at a couple of tickets from things that I have spotted in the game, it's my first time using such a system so hopefully I have done it correctly, my apologies for not doing that in the first time instead of writing on here!

Hint: When logged in to the tracker you can add a mail address under "Preferences" (it won't use the one from the forum registration) so you get informed on changed on your tickets.
