Subject: New blood
Heya,
every now and then I miss the good old times of quality games and for me MAX was the last good turn based one. It doesn't run on modern machines, so I stumbled across Max Reloaded. Actually I did so years ago but it looked as if the project was abandoned. Now I see activity here and I've got hope again.

So, can someone sum up what the current state is like? I guess there is no AI yet?

And in case you guys need some help, I am more than willing to do so, but don't have any programming skills. The areas I can help out with is:
* Testing
* Translation (english <=> german)
* Balancing

I have experience in those fields.

BTW, in order to register here you have to identify a clan logo (your versions, not the original ones) and the help text says that you can look it up in the "about=>clans" section. That section doesn't exist anymore. You probably lost some potential members that weren't able to register.

Welcome to the community Puschkin!

As far as I know the Devs are still in preparations 0.2.9 release. You might want to check out the IRC channel.
I.e. there can be people for test games with the latest nightly builds. Also you might get more direct
feedback on the possibilities of your contributions.
I might join the testing after September.

Have a nice stay and looking forward to a maxr game soonish =)

You can easily follow the development in our GIT space at https://git.maxr.org/maxr/maxr/ - this is where bug reports go as well. You may also fork and create merge requests for language file corrections here. If you're not familiar with GIT but want to help us let us know so we can kickstart you on this topic.

Currently we are preparing the Maxr 0.2.9 release. So testing will be very important in the next weeks.

That is one of the things, we know that it didn't work properly in the last release. You can use the nightly builds from here:

They are already build from the release preparation branch.
