Subject: making max 1.32 working...
hi all
nice to meet MAX fan's, the best strategy game ever made!
But we have a problem...
We try try to play max in tcp way under michael schon 1.32 version. We can start the game, build, move during around 20-30 turn.
But sudenly, when one player asking for ending turn, he wait for the other player answer that never come!
and so we are blocked on turn and no way to do anything to play!

Do you have ever heard about this bug?
Is there any fix?

Hi caryl, welcome to the bbs.

MMs Max isn't developed any more since MM had no more free time for it. He left the sourcecode to the community and we started to improve and rewrite it. The project is called max reloaded and our version can be downloaded here: http://www.maxthegame.de/bbs/viewtopic.php?id=218

Make sure you read the readme: http://maxthegame.dyndns.org:8080/...me/INSTALL

As for now you can only play HotSeat games. TCP/IP was never completly supported by MM nor is it functional in our version. We're working on it ;-)

BTW: What language do you speak? We have a few translations avaible for MAXR and new translations are always welcome.

at the moment unfortunately the only way is, to wait until it is finished Wink

the newest and best version is definitly Max Revolution (download avaible on in this board)
but just written, is not finished at the momentan, it takes some other months to play over lan
but you can play over hotseat, there are no big problems, only some little bugs
