OK, after some time far from games, I'm back, and I'm surprised to find a Facebook group page called "Mechanized Assault Exploration", where I saw the news that the Original MAX can now be played using Dosbox+Tunngle. Although super-slow (this is fault of the game, the game seems to be slow, but you see the clock moving just fine), we can finally play it.
If you don't wanna play the super-slow dosbox, we can play it online using Reloaded too. Aside from minor things, it works! That's what matters.

If you dont have Facebook, enter in the Tunngle room called "Mechanized...", I am always there when possible.
Actually, this is like LOL news, because we already had it done in 2009 with Hamachi, but the game crashed due to high pings.
Now Tunngle does the job, but we realized something very important (and obvious): the game is extremely slow (like when you're playing against AI in turn 450 and the map is full of units). But the trick is that the clock is still running OK in the right speed.
So the "slow" problem, is something caused by the game itself, and not IPX/Win7 stuff. Things are not gonna get better.
But if you want normal speed, we can always play Reloaded too
