Hi, mind giving us laymen a little update on development? Noticed there are not so much open issues left for v.0.3.0... might we have a new release anywhere soon?
How about GIT snapshots, are they playable again?

Thanks.

I stopped checking when i was told in links below that they weren't playable until "refactoring" was finished.

https://www.maxr.org/showtopic.php?id=900
https://git.maxr.org/maxr/maxr/issues/1122

Guess that's finished then 'cause i can't find 0.2.10 anymore in GIT ...

I'm not uptodate myself but iirc do nightlies work (at least for windows). Linux nightlies need a more recent compiler that the machine simply doesn't have. Known but far behind in my queue Disappointed

As far as I can see the refactorings that Eiko started are close to be finished. But when exactly it is done, is always hard to tell. Besides that I think some extensive teting would be required before the next release, since quite a lot of code has been changed.

@beko I've just build gcc 8.1 from source on dev.maxr.org in my home directory and commited changes so that it is used for our CI builds. If you have any better location where I should install the version of gcc so that it can be used by any user on that machine, let me know. In the long run, we could use CPack to package and deploy nightly builds through the CI/CD system integrated in GitLab.

Thanks for the info Beko & Alzi Smiling

Didn't have a chance to do a real test game yet, we still had an unfinished game which is incompatible with the snapshot.
I did do a little test, first thing i noticed is that reaction fire does not work (scout, which was not on sentry nor on manual, being attacked by another scout didn't shoot back).
Don't know if in this state of the GIT snapshots it would be useful to post "bugs"?

Bug reports are most welcome for the GIT snapshot version! Maybe just mention that it was the GIT snapshot version, so that we do not have to try to reproduce it in both versions.

Thank's for testing!
